ARMISTICE DAY
To commemorate the end of World War I, children from both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 attended Sutterton War Memorial to observe two minutes silence to remember all those men and women who have lost their lives in conflicts throughout the world. We turned our minds to their sacrifice as the bells of St Mary’s rang out to mark the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
We joined in pray, before placing our poppies around the War Memorial.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years contemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
