Church School Mission
Both schools in the Federation are Voluntary Controlled Church of England Primary Schools. This means that our aims are based on Christian principles and we try to conduct our business in accordance with the teachings of Jesus and Anglican tradition. This emphasis can be most clearly see in our underlying Mission Statement:
All children are individual gifts from God, to be cherished, protected and nurtured. Our mission is to help them to be the best that they can be in a safe and caring learning environment where respect, responsibility and co-operation are valued.
We do not preach, and children from all faith backgrounds (or no faith background) are equally welcome in our school. What we do do is aim to develop each individual child's personal spiritual understanding and strength by engaging in an ongoing challenging dialogue about faith and belief.
