Summer Term Newsletter ~ Class 2
Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome back to the Summer Term ~ we hope you all had a lovely Easter break.
Here’s an update about the coming term:
Homework
Thank you for supporting your child with their homework and well done again to all of the children who completed their work on time every week last term. Hope they enjoyed their reward! The weekly homework and spelling tasks will continue to be handed out on Fridays and collected in the following Wednesday.
Again, we appreciate the time you share with your child reading and enjoying their books. Can you please make sure that the diary is signed whenever you have listened to them and that their book is in their book bag everyday so that Mrs Burr has an opportunity to change them ~ she checks them every single day! We are also very lucky in that Mrs Shaw or Mrs Palmer reads with each child every week, too.
PE kits
Please ensure that your child has a complete PE kit in school at all times and that there is a suitable pair of plimsolls or trainers for outside sessions now that the weather is improving.

à Looking at Buildings ~ exploring shape, pattern and purpose of buildings, such as bridges and pyramids
Assessment week for Year 2
Please note that the Year 2 assessment week will begin Monday 17th May, the week after the Year 6 Sats.
